This clockwise loop adds 12 miles, starting from the above route's NW corner. Major streets: Cuba > N Old Barrington > W Old Barrington > Kelsey > Miller > Kimberly.... Rainbow > Cuba.
Wheel & Sprocket to North Branch trail
1.7 mi.

Busse > Elm > Prospect > Sibley (becomes Howard) > trail.
East of Harlem, Howard is a protected bike lane. :-)
Wheel & Sprocket to Des Plaines River trail
1.8 mi.

Busse > Greenwood > Elm > Western > Cherry > Aldine > Sibley.
From Western on, this follows a marked cycle route.
